When I pay my copayment I'm given two 8.5 x 11 sheets of paper for a receipt. The text barely takes up a fourth of the page so a much smaller paper size could be used. Also there's no need to provide two receipts with the same information; if I want a second copy I'll make one myself.

Kaiser Permanente (Southern California region) has reduced its paperwork by going electronic. Now after you check in, rather than getting paper orders to take to alert your doctor that you have arrived, the computer system will alert your doctor electronically.
