Hi
I am staying at the Hollywood Renaissance at a conference. I have a lot of paper from the conference that I would like to recycle but dont see recycling facilities available to guests. Your online policy statement states a goal of: "Expanding existing “reduce, reuse, recycle” programs already in place in 90 percent of hotels to consistently include guest and meeting rooms, beginning with pilot hotels across all brands in Boston, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, Minneapolis and Washington, D.C."
I am wondering why this LA based hotel is not part of that 90%? Could you consider making this available in the future?
Also, could you consider replacing the disposable cups in the rooms with reusable cups?

I received a promotional mailer for your Las Vegas resort - it looks lovely but it is a waste of paper. couldn't you reduce the amount of paper in your promotional materials and maybe use recycled content paper too?

I just used the Redwood City FoodsCo which is a Kroger supermarket. I could not find any organic foods there. And, despite the claims made in your 2008 Sustainability report about promoting reusable bags, I could not see any (except the one I had brought into the store myself). There was only plastic bags on offer, not even a paper alternative.
Please could you look into fixing this and getting behind your Sustainability report?
thanks

Hi
I am a great fan of your Facial Cleansing Pads, but the plastic container seems to be very thick - several millimeters - and it doesnt have the recycling sign on it. Is there any way to make your containers more environmentally friendly?

Hi
I noticed today that in your Redwood City store almost everyone was using plastic bags for their shopping. I know Target has a reusable bag that you sell but I did not see any by the checkout counters. Please could you highlight your reusable bags to encourage customers not to use plastic bags?
thanks

Hi I stayed in the W on Adams St and I have 3 main complaints: - My towels were changed after 1 days even though I hung them up - Lights were left on for me, there was no need to waste this electricity - there is no in-room recycling even though the hotel is in a business district and I know the city required businesses to recycle. Please can you consider making your hotels more environmentally friendly? thanks

Starbucks needs to be more environment friendly. There should be a bin so that would be used to recycle plastic, so the consumer could throw their cups away. or something like that.

Hi
I read your environment statement online. My concerns are"
1) your paper bags do not have handles making them unusable
2) the self checkout does not allow you to use your own bags AND does not offer a paper alternative to plastic
3) your delivery service gave a statement that was printed single sided.
It is hard to understand why you won an environmental award at all. Please consider greening your practices. Thanks

Hi - I seem to have between 3-5 mailed coupons from you at any given time. These coupons do not sem to be printed on recycled paper and they are about twice the size they need to be. Please could you think more environmentally friendly and reduce the amount of promotional mailings you send out? Ot at least use recycled content paper?

Hi
A friend and I stopped off for coffee and a danish yesterday. Even though we were eating in, we got given our pastries in paper bags. Would you consider switching to ceramic plates as they are more environmentally friendly?

Why dont you provide any recylcing facilities for passengers? The trash just outside security is full off plastic bottles - what a waste. I travel quite a bit and have seen other airports provide recycling facilities for paper, glass, plastic and cans.

I now have 5 (yes five) store coupons all recieved unsolicited through the mail - none are printed on recycled paper with vegetables dyes. All the mailers are about bigger than they need to be.
I would love to know how much paper you use printing those coupons and what your take up rate is. I bet it is a lot of paper across the US.
Please could you reconsider your coupon mailings?

A woman came into the store where I was shopping and bought a pillow, which then was placed in a bag. I think this is ridiculous... a bag for 1 or 2 items? If someone wants a bag, I think there should be a surcharge! Also, I hope that the packaging for shipped items is made of recycled materials...
